Multiple Apple TV's not displaying

I have two apple tv's one connected to my music system and one to my tv...however, my Macbook only shows the Apple TV (2) which is connected to my TV, so can't run music through it, yet my iPad Mini only shows Apple TV...so I canot just switch them...why do all apple devices not show ability to Airplay to all Apple TV's connected?

PS I had to post it here because for some absurd reason Apple doesn't let me post Apple TV questions to the Apple TV forum!

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

I see you are not seeing your Apple TVs on one device or the other. This article should help you sort out what is going on. There is a section for "If you don't see the device you want to stream to" that should be of use.
