Q: I currently have an iCloud apple id using .aol.com I am trying to rename it

How do I change my iCloud id from ...aol.com to ...icloud.com?

Hello jas082142,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

The @icloud.com email address can only be used as an alternate Apple ID and cannot be changed to be your primary Apple ID. In other words, your @aol.com Apple ID will remain as your primary Apple ID that you can sign in to Apple services with.
