Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
If you are not able to AirPlay to your Apple TV from multiple devices, then I'd like you to please follow the information in the articles below.
Get help using AirPlay and AirPlay Mirroring on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
Note: If you don't see AirPlay Display or AirPlay Mirroring options in the Displays pane of System Preferences, then your Mac model does not support this feature.
To turn off AirPlay, select "Turn Off AirPlay" in the AirPlay menu or from the Displays pane of System Preferences. You can also press the Menu button on the Apple TV remote to end the current AirPlay session.About AirPlay Mirroring in OS X - Apple Support
Take care,

May 4, 2015 12:19 PM in response to cdlvj130by cdlvj130,'Does not support this feature" Purchased Apple TV, plugged in, connected to internet, turned on my desktop, and was able to stream, wow impressed. Upgraded to lastest version, and my desktop icon is nowhere. Will you fix this, I see thousands of users with the same issue. Starting to act like Microsoft.
