Q: My emails from my gmail account have stopped from my iMac but I am still getting them on my other apple devices, how do I fix this?

I am unable to send or receive emails on my iMac but can do so on my other apple devices. What can I do to fix this please?

iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2011), OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)
