2. You do not need to convert .cdr to .iso. You can use the .cdr directly. I have used it many times to create a USB installer on supported systems. Point the BCA to the .cdr.

Mar 21, 2015 8:23 PM in response to Shmoovaliaby Shmoovalia,Also when I install the disk and open the Bootcamp app I am given the option to download support software but not Windows 7 itself. Mar 21, 2015 8:39 PM in response to Shmoovaliaby Loner T,The Mac SuperDrive built into your Mac is the Optical drive.
1. Insert your Windows DVD in Optical drive. Disconnect any external storage.
2. Insert a USB2 Flash drive. This will be used to hold the BC drivers.
3. Start BCA. Check the options to download software and Install Windows. You do not need to download Windows. The BCA will download the BC drivers to the USB.
4. Partition your drive.
5. You can see the Windows installer screens at https://help.apple.com/bootcamp/mac/5.0/help/#/bcmp173b3bf2.

Mar 21, 2015 9:01 PM in response to Loner Tby Shmoovalia,I really appreciate the assistance but now I am being told that I can't use boot camp assistant because the disk is not journaled. When I go into Disk Utility the ability to enable journaling has been grayed out. I will try again tomorrow after work. I did have the hard drive backed up so maybe I can reload and start over.

Mar 21, 2015 9:15 PM in response to Shmoovaliaby Loner T,You may need to boot into Local Recovery using Command+R during power-up and use the Recovery console to enable journalling. A good backup before you start BCA will help if there are any issues.
