Q: itunes crashes 2015

iTunes 12.1.1 crashes 10 seconds after opening. Help. I have windows 8.1

The "User-specific troubleshooting" section on this page fixed it for me. Essentially I moved one preference file to the desktop, started iTunes (which created a new preference file in the appropriate section) and my problem was solved. Deleted the old preference file that I'd move to the desktop.

I am still using Windows 7 and suddenly today iTunes crashes when I attempt to access iTunes store.
