Q: Facetime  Apple  ID  server problem

Hi,  Face Time,  version 1,0,5 (170) ,   is telling  me  that it is  unable  to  connect   my  Apple  ID   to  the  server.

I  have  been  through  the  trouble  shooting  recommendations  to  no avail.

I*m  able  to  connect  to  the  app store, ( and  here ) without  any  fuss, so  it's  not  a  wrong  password  mistake.

I saw on a  Face Time  Community  thread that  other people (  3 or 4 )  are  having  the  same  message.

When  i tried  to post  there  i was unable  to log on to it. so  hence  here i am.

I'm  person  of  little  brain,  about as technical  as a door stop.

How  long  would  it  take  for  Apple  corp  be  aware / take  to  fix  a  problem like  this ?

Any  thoughts  would  be  appreciated.

    Greetings fin64,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

I understand that you are unable to sign in with your Apple ID to FaceTime on your Mac and are receiving a server error. In this situation, I would suggest reading over and working through the troubleshooting steps in the attached article which addresses the error communicating with the server.
