Mar 22, 2015 9:12 AM in response to Terence Devlinby professortiki,I don't have Image Capture. But I found another way: in the camera menu I found "USB connections". It was set to "MTP". I assume it must have been running with this setting on the computer before the security update, because I never changed that setting. I didn't even know it exists. Now I set it to "automatic", and that did the trick. Have no idea what technically happened though, but problem solved so far. Thanks for your idea anyway!

Had to google it though, since it comes with a *completely* different name in my German system: "Digitale Bilder". It's actually pretty cool. I may use it for downloading the images from my camera in the future instead of iPhoto. Thanks!
