Updating iPhoto

My iPhoto is saying it needs updating on my iMac, however when I try to do so it says I cannot do it with the apple ID provided. We have different apple IDs since purchasing our iMac because my family has so many devices so we finally came to a point where we all needed to have our own separate IDs. Every time I try to go in and update using the old Apple ID info even then it won't work to update iPhoto. Any suggestions?
