i had always problems using the ipad with wifi dont know wich was it i thing the newipad as a gps
do you have any apps that i could purches to use it as gps or i need the 3g or 4g ipad
as well as i have iphone 5 without sim pane in spain could i use it? Thanks
the wifi ipads don't have a gps chip at all they only know where they are if they are connected to a router / wifi network which support telling connected devices the location of the wifi network
OOk so I fully understand that IPAD AIR 2 WIFI ONLY, does not have a dedicated GPS module
however I am confused as Google Maps Drive Function works when connected to WIFI
but the New HERE Maps Drive Function keeps saying 'looking for GPS'
they hey both show my location in the mapping part
i now this is unlikely to be an Apple issue and more the individual APP issue but still strange.
