Error message: "iTunes could not restore the iPhone because the iPhone disconnected."

I have a Mac running OS X Yosemite version 10.10.2 and have an iPhone 6 running iOS 8.2. I deleted all of my previous backups thinking that maybe the old backups were corrupted. I still get this message. I tried changing USB cables and different USB ports. Still no luck. Did I possibly delete my backup folders so there is no where for the backup to go to? When using "Finder" how do I find where the backup folder is? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
