Can my upgraded MacBook run OS X Mountain Lion?

I own a late 2007 MacBook running OS X 10.6.8, that originally comes with one GB of memory, but I have upgraded the RAM to four GB. So my question is, now that I have upgraded the RAM, can I run 10.8 or even 10.7? Or is there something more I would need to do?
