cannot access my websites or APlus.net

i am having a real problem and i can't tell if it relates to my upgrading my desktop mac pro computer (which i am in the middle of) or upgrading to yosemite or if it is some kind of other issue.

basically i have a MBP which accesses the internet via my Time Capsule and i have a mac pro that is plugged in via ethernet.

i am /rarely/ able to connect to APlus.net or to my two websites on this server but i can connect to just about everything else. i thought this was some kind of wifi problem but i am testing now and the desktop machine will not go to these sites either.

i have also tried mozilla.

usually they hang for a very long time and then give me a timeout error or a can't access the server or whatever. i also seem to get an issue with my EMAIL on my IPHONE where it says the message has not been downloaded from the server yet (not sure if this is specific to email addresses that belong to my domain).

anyway, all tech calls these days on this issue to APlus tell me that it is my problem since they can in fact access the URL's.

any ideas on how to do something other than clearing the cache?

hi link,

i tried all three sites on the iphone and i have the same problem with them not loading. i turn off wifi and the three sites load immediately. any ideas? i am stumped.

i should say that my FTP settings do not work any more on either the laptop or the desktop in Transmit (or in Forklift on the laptop). and this is a /major/ pain in the butt since i have to get on the site and write down and then redo all my logins and passes.

also i am on Yosemite but i am not really sure if anything (or what exactly) new is syncing via iCloud.

hi linc,

it looks like the update to this was that the internet traffic for me to get to my pages and to the hosts website was being dropped at some point along the line by one of the large internet providers (whatever these guys are called) who apparently maintain a lot of the infrastructure. so my ISP was kind enough to contact them and ask them to help it along. probably the responsibility of my website host but my ISP was kind enough to get me moving with a terminal trace command and we seem to have sniffed out the issue.

much thanks
