I can' see my apple tv listed on airplay. iI have scrolled through the entire list and mine is not there. I can see other apple tv devices on the network but not mine. I'm using an ipad 2. I have checked the network settings between the devices and they're OK. Any thoughts?

Hi jl5653,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it sounds like the Apple TV is not listed in the selector window. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.

Thanks for the information. I've done all the steps and I can't see my device anywhere. Anything else? It may ultimately be the network which I have no control over (hotel WiFi).

Yes many hotels won't allow devices to communicate with each other on their networks.
