Mar 24, 2015 12:01 AM in response to Infoprospectorby re^pete,Yes, I have experienced the same problem today. I tried to synch my ride data from Cyclemeter, and got the message 'Cannot access Health data. Health data is not available on this device'. When I open up the Health app, it is *almost* if I've never used it - no dashboard, no data, no Medical ID. However, for what it's worth, it still listed Cyclemeter as a source.
I've lost probably 350 data points, and I hope Apple can come up with a recovery option, as there is no way I'm prepared to manually re-enter them all.

Mar 24, 2015 12:12 AM in response to Infoprospectorby re^pete,★HelpfulCrisis averted. I rebooted my phone (hold down the power button, slide to power off), and when it restarted, the Health app was back to its previous state, with all data intact.
Hope this helps.

Mar 25, 2015 9:02 PM in response to re^peteby Infoprospector,Thanks for the reminder. Rebooting the phone worked for me as well. I've lost a few days' data while I had the problem.
BTW. The error message I got while trying to save data to Health app from Cardio indicated that it may have been a corrupt database in the Health app.
The experience has left me feeling unsure about the Health app as the sole repository of health & fitness data.

Mar 25, 2015 10:45 PM in response to Infoprospectorby sberman,Regarding backing up your Health data:
Yes, you are correct ... iCloud does not back it up. However, if backing it up is important to you, you can do so in an iTunes backup if you encrypt the backup with a passcode.
Should I use iTunes or iCloud to back up my iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch? - Apple Support

Jun 22, 2015 7:00 PM in response to re^peteby ngrailrei,This did not work for me. I have Cyclemeter Elite, all settings allow it to fetch/store date in Health App. Health App data source is Cyclemeter. Quadruple-checked everything. It should be working. It just isn't. iOS 8.4 up to date. Health App is worthless to me.

Nope. iOS 8.4 has not been released. You are referring to beta software.

Aug 11, 2015 12:00 PM in response to sbermanby RToomey,Just read the latest several posts in this thread. As I key this, it's August 11th and I'm running iOS 8.4. This iOS release is now in general distribution, I.e., not beta. Like ngrailrei, I'm using Cyclemeter Elite. I also have an Apple Watch. Even though I've authorized CycleMeter to both read/write Health app data, when I complete a Cyclemeter ride or run, I get the "Cyclemeter not authorized" error. Very frustrating.
