Where can I get the right SMC firmware for my machine? I have been to the Apple site (EFI and SMC firmware updates for Intel-based Macs - Apple Support) but there is no update for my machine and no way to ask it to simply reflash my existing SMC (1.12f5).

Clearly there are SMC issues: shows no battery, fans at full on, cannot turn on without the cord attached even thought runs fine without the cord. If anyone has another solution (beyond the Apple instructions (Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) - Apple Support )), I'm happy to entertain it.

Thanks!
