Can I update from 4.3 directly to 8.2

I want to reset my iPad 2to factory settings and then upgrade from 4.3 to 8.2. Is this possible?

Yes.
Connect to iTunes, select it and click Update.

If you are using iOS 4 (or earlier) there is no Software Update in Settings. That feature was first added in iOS 5.
To update you will have to connect your iPad to iTunes on a computer (preferably the one you sync with and backup to).

No one really does "updates" with anything anymore. Almost everyting is always a complete install (meaning the latest update will include all previous updates).

Also keep in mind that the iPad 2 will update to iOS 8.2. But the older original ipad, the one without a camera, will only update to iOS 5.1.1.
Do you all think I might be able to do this at Apple's Genius Bar?
I do not have access to a computer with a current version of iTunes.
