updated to ios 8.2 now messages/facetime/calls all do not work

I have an iPhone 5 and updated to ios 8.2 Friday March 20th. Since the update, iMessage does not work or SMS, I cannot open messages without all recent ones going blank every now and then. Facetime also doesn't work and when I try to turn it on and enter my (correct) password, it says cannot activate check network connection. Also, I cannot make or receive calls. I scheduled a call time with Apple for help but never received a call only a voice mail and I'm unable to call back. PLEASE HELP

Hi katie_frankie,


If you are having issues with your iPhone iMessages, FaceTime and SMS not functioning correctly, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.


First, quit all running applications and test again -


Force an app to close in iOS


Next, I would try restarting and if needed resetting the iPhone -


Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch


If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPhone as a new device -


How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups
