Why can't I turn on the equalizer on my Ipod classic 160G?
The equalizer remains in the off position and I want to turn it on. What is the trick to doing that? Simply pressing the center does not work.

Unlike some of the other options, simply pressing the centre button does not turn the EQ (equaliser) on. Instead, when in the equaliser menu, scroll down to the EQ option you want and then press the centre button to select that option.
You can see which EQ option is currently in use by scrolling down the Settings menu to the EQ option but do not go into it. On the right hand side of the screen you will see the icon for the equaliser and under that, the name of the option in use.
