After installing the latest security update PowerPoint proje

After installing the latest Yosemite security update PowerPoint projects with Quicktime fils crash and the error message says Crashed Module Name: QuickTimeComponents and Blame Module Name: MicrosoftComponentPlugin. Microsoft says the problem is with Quicktime. I also installed Open Office and it does the same thing. Only projects with Quicktime files crash. How do I fix this?

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2012), OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)
