Q: BT infinity wifi problems
Having major problems connecting my MacBook Air (2011, OS X 10.9.5) to my new BT Home Hub 5 wifi (BT Infinity). Driving me insane, and BT helpline say it's a Mac problem, not them.
All my other devices at home (iPad mini & iPhone) connect to it fine, so deduce it is a specific problem with the laptop connection to the wifi.
But over the past month since installing my new Home Hub 5, problems connecting have arisen, now so bad that I can barely connect at all. I turn on laptop, and wifi symbol searches for the network, cannot find it automatically, as it used to fine with my old Bt Home Hub wifi.
I then get a box saying "Your BT Home Hub 5 <code> requires a WPA2 password". I enter the 10-digit password. And click "Join". It tries to connect. It then brings up error message "Invalid Password". In recent days I have been pressing "Join" over and over again, sometimes 20/30 times, and sometimes it then connects. Today, it would not connect at all. AAAAAGH.
When I searched for this problem on t'internet (via iPad!) it seemed other people have experienced this problem, but I could not understand the answers, too techy and complicated for me.
BT helpline man in India could not help at all, after a 30 minute conversation.
I am going mad. Please help!
