Photo congestion problem !

I'm current;y using a Mac Mini and an iPhone 5c, plus other Mac hardware - several of which can take photos. However the 5c has a limited memory storage so I have started to delete photos from it to make room for my next holiday material.

But it seems as of no matter how often I delete material, stills and videos, they're back., and copies of photos taken elsewhere arrive to occupy my valuable space.

I need to be able to take pics on the iPhone, have them sent automatically to Cloud ? or Photostream ? - but thereafter be able to delete them from the phone and not have them automatically synced back - how do I achieve this ?

iPhone 5c has iOS 8.3 and Mac Mini has OS 10.10.3 (beta)

Mac mini, OS X Yosemite (10.10), iPad Air, iPhone 5c, Cube, iBook G4
