OS X 10.10.2 Don't see Desktop files in Time Machine backup

A chill jus went down my spine. When i looked into back up in Time Machine, I only saw the folders and files on Hd, not those on desktop.

Do I have to manually add my files on my desktop to my backup disk? Or does it have some name or sub folder in backup that's not apparent?

Hey Akua,

I would first make sure that you do not have anything excluded from Time Machine backing up. When using Time Machine as a back up option, the folder structure is the exact same as what you see on your Mac. Take a look at the articles below for more information about Time Machine.
