Is this file safe to use on the MBP? "MyDVR_Mac_v1".

I bought a security camera set from Swann. In order for me to use the system on my MBP, I have to download the file: MyDVR_Mac_v1. Is this a safe file to open on my MBP? I can use my iPhone to view the cameras set up but I would like to view them on my MBP. Any ideas? Thank you.😕
