OS 5.1.1..how do I up grade to a higher OS that will support apps
I have an I pod touch with OS5.1.1... I cant get it to run any of the apps that I want.. face book or messenger.. they all need a higher OS... what can I do

Most likely you can't because your model is too old.

If you do not have a Software Update option present on your iDevice, then you are trying to upgrade to iOS 5 or higher. You will have to connect your device to your computer and open iTunes in order to upgrade.
