Mar 23, 2015 10:18 PM in response to a283by sberman,Oh, your screen shot helps, thanks.
If your finger is in a normal state (e.g., not oily) and the Touch ID button surface is clean, then your iPhone is still under warranty, so I would suggest taking it in to an Apple Store or Authorized Apple Service Center for (free) appraisal and advice.

Mar 23, 2015 10:30 PM in response to sbermanby a283,Thank you sberman, but your answer didnt really helped me. I am talking about a hardware issue in the iphone here, eitheir coming from IOS 8.2 or complete hardware malfunction. (oily fingers, and so on is not the issue here).
Thanks anyway.

Mar 23, 2015 10:37 PM in response to a283by sberman,As I tried to say, since oily fingers is not the issue, then there is an issue with the iPhone. It should be covered under warranty. Take the iPhone in to an Apple Store or Authorized Apple Service Center for a (free) inspection and likely repair.
