iPhone won't connect to iTunes

I have had this problem for a while now and I have exhausted every option I can think of, I desperately need help. So after I updated to iTunes 12 I started having an issue connecting to iTunes. Then when I went to connect my iPhone 5 to iTunes, it won't recognize my phone. My phone is recognized on my computer just not iTunes. It's not the usb cord as I have tried 3. I have restarted everything and re installed iTunes 3 times, still nothing. I went into services to restart "Apple Mobile Device Sharing" but the service wasn't on. When I went to turn it on it keeps giving me this message: "The Apple Mobile Device Service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs". I'm pretty sure this is my problem and I looked online for answers but have gotten nothing. I have no idea what else to do because everything I have tried has failed. Really appreciate help!!!

Hello elkadys2,

The Apple Mobile Device is a component of iTunes that communicates between your computer and your iPhone or iOS device. It's possible that you are not logged in as the administrator for your Windows PC. Or, you may have antivirus software stopping the Apple Mobile Device from running.

The articles below will provide some troubleshooting steps for the issue you are having with Apple Mobile Device Service and your iPhone not being recognized in iTunes for Windows;
