Mac Mini (Mid 2010) maximal display resolution - HDMI or Thunderbolt ?

Hi!

Could anyone tell me, what the maximum Display Resolution for my Mac Mini (Mid 2010) is ? It has the following build-in graphic card:

- NVIDIA GeForce 320M, 256 MB

I am planing to buy a new Monitor. What is the preferred Interface to connect the Monitor? HDMI or Thunderbolt ? Can I use a 4K Monitor, even if not the full resolution is supported?

Thanks in advance for any help,

Gospo

The Maximum would be 2560 x 1600 using the displayport connector for the 2010 Mac Mini, see link below.
