Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you’re running into a Caller ID issue with your iPhone 6. Make sure the feature is enabled as suggested in the article below and, if the issue persists, try contacting your carrier to verify your account is provisioned correctly.

Caller ID
Turn on or off in
Settings > Phone.
Contact your carrier for information on using Caller ID.
