Automator: how to copy and paste great amount of files?

Hi everyone.

My external HD recently sort of died and is now somewhat broken.

I really need to recover the files I stored on it, sadly all recommended methods (from Time Machine to Migration Assistant) failed.

The only thing that actually works is copying and pasting manually small batches of files to a new location.

Is it possible to create a workflow that does that for me (maybe with automator)?
