I purchased an album for my son's iPhone and after that, my library disappeared and all that shows up is the songs and playlists on my son's phone. How do I get my original library back?

So did mine. I have spent the afternoon online with three different people, and the answer is, "We are sorry, but it's gone."
Lyndie325, Since posting my question, I found out that there is a way to recover "previous" libraries. If you quit iTunes and then open iTunes while holding down the "option" key, you will have the option of opening "previous libraries". I was able to open a library from last October which didn't have all of my previous songs and playlists, but it was pretty close. I don't know how the previous libraries got saved, though, and I'd like to know how my original library got mysteriously and automatically wiped out so that I can avoid it happening again! Good luck!
