how do i get rid of a black box that types what I'm doing?
You may have installed some type of malware by accident. The first thing to do is download AdWareMedic (Google it) and see if you have any adware. Actually, I found another answer and tried it and the box is gone!
I have three cats who step on my keyboard and the combination of feet on keys created the black box nuisance.
