How do i import my favorites folder from my iPhone to my iMac?

I am making a photo book through iPhoto and I already hand picked all of my pictures from my iPhone 5s and put them in my favorites folder. I now need to get them into the photo book but I have a lot of very unorganized pictures in iPhoto. How can I just choose a folder to import to my Mac and then import said folder to the photo book?

I was trying to do the same thing, wish there was a way to import individual albums from iphone to photos. What I was able to do was open favorites folder on iphone enter select all then share via airdrop. When opening the connection on the computer I was given the option to import with photos and given the option in photos to select all or just the ones I wanted.

It was a little convoluted but worked fine for me without needing to use dropbox, or another app.

There's probably an easier way, but this seems to work assuming you have Google Drive or something similar. I did this on a Windows PC but I'm guessing it'd work on a Mac.

On your phone, create a new album. I called mine "Faves"

On the phone, add all your Favorites to the "Faves" album. For some reason at least on my phone, Favorites don't show up as an upload choice in Google Drive, but albums you manually create do.

Open Google Drive on your phone.

Create a new folder on your Google drive (I used iPhone Faves).

Navigate to the new Google Drive folder, then upload all the photos in iPhone Faves to Google Drive

Open Google Drive on your PC or Mac

Download all the photos in the iPhone Faves folder to the local drive

Once I'm sure everything's good, I delete them from the Google Drive folder and the iPhone Faves folder.

Here is a solution that worked for me today. I use the PhotoSync app, available on iTunes, to move photos between my iPhone, iPad and Windows PC. The app also works with Macs. This app permits transfer to another device, including a desktop computer, of one or more photos from the Favorites album or other albums in the iOS Photos app. There is a setting in the app preferences that enables easy transfer of all new photos from the album, so that you do not have to select every photo manually.

You could share the photos in your Favourite album as a shared Album, see: iCloud: iCloud Photo Sharing FAQ

You can browse the Shared Album in iPhoto on your Mac.

Or enable iCloud Photo Library (Beta) on your iPhone, if you have iOS 8. (iCloud Photo Library beta FAQ)

Then you can download the Favourite photos from the "Album" view in the Photos(Beta).app on your icloud page:
