Trying use product for a new calculation

I hope I can describe my dilemma: I want to use the product

of a calculation in one cell in another calculation destined for

another cell. It would seem to be simple: sum a column then

divide by the product of another calculation in another set of

cells - but I keep getting -0- even after restarting the app.

Is this allowed? I'd expected to be able to link calculations.

Hi Tom,

Possibly the cells are formatted as text, not number. Please post a screen shot of the relevant part of the screen, and what formulas you are using.

Tom,

Whatever is going on there, it's not a problem with using the percentage format, or not. The reason that the percentage format seems to solve your problem is that it defaults to two places after the decimal. You could get the same result by displaying 4 places after the decimal in regular number format.

If the operation result is less than 0.5, the displayed value will be zero if you are displaying zero places after the decimal point.
