How can I change my French language selection on my Apple TV
How can I change my French language selection on my Apple TV? I tried following instructions on manual but that didn't work. Please help. Thanks!

Thanks Tom but I can't get the menu to come up when I press menu on the Apple remote. ??
Are your remote batteries ok?
Do you have an iphone or ipad where you can use the Remote app?
I just bought the Apple TV and remote yesterday--batteries should be good. I have both the iPhone, iPad, and this Mac computer but not sure what you mean by using the Remote app with those devices. I synced (linked) the Apple remote to my TV remote by following instructions. Now what? Does any of this help? I've been fiddling with this for 2 hours and it's very frustrating.

Tom, should my cable box be turned on along with my TV and Apple TV box?
Your Apple TV should be connected directly to your TV via an hdmi cable. You have to switch the input of your TV to that hdmi port, but your cable box does not play a role normally.
Your Apple remote should be linked to the Apple TV.
The Remote app makes it easier to control the Apple TV
