cant change primary address
I recently changed my email address to gmail. this used to be my recovery address. I now would like this address to be my primary address and iTunes keep on stating that my address is used as recovery address.

You've logged into the account on http://appleid.apple.com and removed it as your rescue email address (by answering the security questions on the Password & Security section of your account's page), it no longer shows there ? If you have then try logging out and back into the account on that site and see if you can then use it as your primary email address.
After changing it : What to do after you change your Apple ID email address or password - Apple Support (or you can log out of the account in Settings > iTunes & App Store and Settings > iCloud on your phone prior to doing the change, and log back in with the updated version after changing it).
