How can I remove and reinstall pages?

I went into the applications folder and deleted pages, then emptied the trash can so it's no longer on my system. However, when I go into the app store and pull it up under past purchases, it just says "open" instead of download. I either need help figuring out what file I need to delete that makes the app store think pages is still or installed, or need help forcing the app store to re-download pages anyway. Thanks in advance guys, any help is much appreciated!

MacBook, OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)

What happens if you are signed into the OS X App Store, and press option before you select Purchases. Do you get a Download or Install for Pages?

Unfortunately using the option button doesn't do anything, however I did figure out that I needed to delete the shortcut from launchpad in addition to simply removing it from applications. After doing that, the app store figured out I didn't have it installed and let me re-download it. Thank you for responding to my question 🙂
