Mac Mini and Neat Desk Scanner

I had a neat scanner that worked fine on my Imac which recently died, so i switched to a MacMini 8gb memory 1TB hard drive etc.

i reinstalled the neat software and the scanner worked for a few days then stopped working, i had it connected to a USB on the mini, not the hub.

i thought the scanner may have died, so i got a replacement, and it does not work either.

i tried switching ports, etc, with no success.

The scanner shows up as ADF Scanner on the system info on a usb port, but does not show up as an available device in preferences to scan, nor does it show up in the neat software.

i have tried all the troubleshooting suggestions from NEAT with no success.

Any suggestions appreciated.
