I want to know if installing windows 8.1 on macbook pro OS X Yosmeite has serious disadvantages on the performance and the future of my macbook.

You'll need to be clear.
You don't install Windows on Yosemite as such. You can install it natively or using a VM. Which are you enquiring about?
For the record, I have Windows 8.1 on a Mid2010 Mac Pro. It's installed natively on its own drive and also in Parallels V10.1.4 on OSX 0.10.2 and both work fine.
I was implying about using boot camp to install windows 8.1.
Not sure then. I didn't use BC in the usual way.
Bootcamp drivers are installed but I didn't actually use the assistant. Works perfectly tho.
anyhow, windows 8.1 works smoothly rite and do u have any issues relating to performance, battery or any other ares that are negatively affected due to windows 8.1?

Nope. It seems to work flawlessly. I will say tho, (shouldn't make any difference), my install is on a Mac Pro, not MacBook Pro.
It actually seems faster running Windows.
You have a new model, so I don't believe you have the option to install on a separate drive. Backup, (twice), before you do anything.
