are there any flaws in installing windows through boot camp and does the system run flawlessly after installation.

The depends on what you view as a flaw. no software is perfect.

Are you confusing "flaws" and "bugs"?
i am referring to both ( disadvantages) of installing windows 8.1 for the mac
what about hardware, are there any issues relating to hardware?
Hardware is supported by BC Drivers available at System requirements to install Windows on your Mac via Boot Camp - Apple Support.
You should avoid using stock Windows drivers that come from Windows Update.
