Pointer size on second display is too small

I am trying to use a second display for a presentation and I want to increase the pointer size for visibility.

When I change the pointer size in Systems Preferences, on my main (MBP) display it is nice and large. But on the second display is is still the same small size.

Worse, for some settings of pointer size, it does not appear at all on the second display. Surely, that is a bug.

Is it possible to set pointer sizes individually for the two displays?

I am running OS X 10.10.2 on a mid-2014 15 inch MacBook Pro. All software is up to date.
