I have the 5S and there is a check mark next to no sound when phone is in lock mode that prevents me from getting my calls and messages. How can I turn that off? Clicking it does nothing. Please help! Thanks!

That setting under Settings > Do Not Disturb only applies when Do Not Disturb is turned on. So turn off Do Not Disturb.
Thanks for taking the time to try to help me. . I checked and the Do not disturb is off. The check is still there stopping calls from coming in when phone is locked. Any other ideas? Thanks again!
No, it doesn't work that way - it only works if DND is turned on, I assure you. It's checked on my system and I still get my calls and messages when my screen is locked.
Do you have the mute switch engaged? It's the little slider over the volume buttons on the side. If you can see orange, it's engaged. Slide it the other way.
The Orange is not showing so I know its not on silent and the volume is up high. It's very frustrating because it started doing this out of nowhere. I'm at a loss as how to fix this.
No it's not engaged. The silent button is not on and do not disturb is not on.
Under Settings > Notifications for each of your settings for Phone and Message notifications, do you have "Show on Lock Screen" set to ON? (Green side showing)
