itunes 12 issue

all of my playlists disappeared from my iPhone 5c after a recent upgrade. the iTunes 12 software is not intuitive to me. can someone tell me how to add a playlist from iTunes 12 to iPhone 5c? thanks

iPhone 5c, iOS 8.2

Many have gone back to iTunes 11 because they think it is better. You can do that too.

Playlists can definitely be loaded from iTunes 12.

Check carefully your settings in the sync instructions:
