    My two cents again: why would you believe someone with unexplained fossil scripts who is recommending against honest reputable contributors here?

    That is why we assumed you have mackeeper installed.

    MacKeeper is crap, and should be avoided. Uninstall it. You can read about such apps in  http://thesafemac.com.

    Forget the post of Kitkat: nonsense.

    But I think your issue is already gone after running AdwareMedic, as everybody here suggested.

    Adwaremedic is now called Malwarebytes Anti Malware and it did the trick! Thank you.
