Hello, I upgraded to Yosemite (10.10.2) a month ago and everything was fine. Suddenly I can't open iPhoto. There is no error message and nothing happens when I click it. Thanks for any advice.

What version of iphoto? What has changed since it worked? What exactly does happen?

It is version 9.6. I have been using a photobook software programme by Bonusprint to create a new photobook. It has been absolutely fine for the last few weeks and I just went to look in iPhoto to check something and this issue suddenly occurred. I just upgraded the Bonusprint software today (they issue updates fairly regularly).
How do you get photos out of iphoto and into Bonusprint? That could possibly be the issue

Hi Larry,
When I open the Bonusprint software there is a window on the side with 'LIBRARIES' at the top and I can access my photos and albums from here. I can still see all my photos in the various albums etc., underneath and when I click on them they open as thumbnails underneath but iPhoto itself is still paralysed even after I quit the Bonusprint software.
Does BonusPrint ever make any change to a photo and put that change back into the iphoto library? - or is it only reading the photos?

Just to let you know, I uninstalled and reinstalled iPhoto and the Bonusprint software and all is working now.
