my new podcast logo isn't on itunes

My podcast Modern Mouse Radio has been around for a few years. I created a new logo in 1400 pixel x 1400 pixel format and uploaded it to my libsyn account over the weekend. It's been 4 days and I still don't see it posted in itunes. I see it in other podcast apps and sites like Stitcher but not here. Why is that?

This is my podcast:

Your image is correctly referenced and is within the required parameters. Since its filename is New_Logo.jpg I assume that it has a different filename from the previous image - this is essential as otherwise the Store (which caches the image) has no way of knowing it's been updated.

It's been four days since you uploaded it: for some reason it usually takes quite some days for new or changed images to appear in the Store, even though other data usually updates in a couple of days. I'm afraid it's just a question of being patient until the Store catches up.

Looks like it is updated now in iTunes as the image in iTunes matches your logo in your libsyn account. And in your feed the file is now called - NEW_MMR_Logo.jpg - which looks to be different than the file above.

Per Roger's comments - the image file name must change for iTunes to update - which it looks like you changed and is not correct in iTunes.

Hi Roger, I'm having a similar problem. Have tried and tried to work through this--on and off for about a year now. My logo does not appear in the itunes and I can't work out what the problem is. I noticed that the image in my site was a png and so I replaced it with a jpg and altered the html in the feed accordingly. That was yesterday. I understand that even if it is correct, it may still take a few days to show up. Nevertheless, could you have a look and tell me if you see anything amiss? Much appreciated.

Best,

David

Hi again Roger,

According to your advice, above, I'm posting the feed to my podcast. I uploaded the resized jpg 1400x1400 and uploaded it. The name of the file is critminlogo.jpg

It is linked as: <itunes:image href="/public_html/criticallyminded/episodes/critminlogo.jpg”/> <itunes:image href="/public_html/criticallyminded/episodes/critminlogo.jpg”/>

I waited for a week now and the logo still does not appear. I'd really like to understand this problem--not to mention get my logo to display. Would greatly appreciate you assistance here. Could you please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Best,

David

<itunes:image href="/public_html/criticallyminded/episodes/critminlogo.jpg”/>

This is not a URL, it's the file path on the server. You must include the http:// and the server name. The actual URL appears to be http://www.criticallyminded.com/episodes/critminlogo.jpg - this image, though it is the correct size, is very blurred (though it won't appear at that size in iTunes).

And please when you have a question post the URL of the feed, not its contents.

You have included your own email address three times in the quoted feed coding. This is an invitation to spam and I've asked the Hosts to remove them. Never post your email address (or any other personal information) in an open forum.
