Mar 25, 2015 2:55 PM in response to stone87by Kappy,VRAM for an integrated GPU is a function of the physical RAM installed. Unless the physically installed RAM has changed the VRAM should be unchanged unless a function of the OS X version. Possibly the amount you see is because that is all being used or because of the differences between how Mavericks and Yosemite use RAM.

Mar 25, 2015 3:46 PM in response to Kappyby stone87,Yes the amount of VRAM depends on the amount of RAM. Hm, maybe you're right and that's because of the differences between Mavericks an Yosemite. But I have read that apple changed the amount of max VRAM for the Intel Iris Pro since the 10.9.3 Mavericks update and so my mac should show 1536 MB even on Mavericks, but it shows only 1024 MB. And several users of mavericks say that their mac shows 1536 MB VRAM. So that's why I'm wondering how this could be...

Mar 26, 2015 4:14 AM in response to Kappyby stone87,Yes I know that the amount of VRAM is determined by the CPU. But according to About integrated video on Intel-based Macs - Apple Support a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013) should have 1536 MB VRAM and I have only 1024 MB.
