iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, end 2014) annoying noise

Hi,

I've bought my imac 3 months ago online at the apple store.

i hear annoying zoom(hummmmm,zzzzzzzzzzzz) sound. sounds comes from the the underside of the screen. i hear this noise when its silent

i really don't know if this is normal.

i thought the new iMac is noiseless

what can i do?

can somebody please advise me?...

You have 90 days of complimentary AppleCare telephone coverage, if you are within the 90 days call AppleCare. Otherwise you have a 1 year warranty, take the machine into your local Apple Store or AASP to be professionally diagnosed.

i will, but how silence has the imac be normally?

only i hear this annoying sound. when is ask somebody else, they say its normal...

its a sound like: you know that there is a computer active....

Since we can't hear the sound there is little we can tell as to whether the sound is normal or not. Having an Apple Store technician take a look at it is the best advice. Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

Hi,

Any news on this. I've bought a 5k retina and I have exact this problem. The room I work in is really silent and this noise is really annoying. Personally I think it's the fusion drive (Seagate?) that makes this noise.

I'm planning to return the Imac back to the store so they can have a look at it. This is my first Mac and all my previous computers I've built myself. They were dead silent.
