iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, end 2014) annoying noise

Hi,



I've bought my imac 3 months ago online at the apple store.

i hear annoying zoom(hummmmm,zzzzzzzzzzzz) sound. sounds comes from the the underside of the screen. i hear this noise when its silent

i really don't know if this is normal.

i thought the new iMac is noiseless

what can i do?

can somebody please advise me?...

Hi,

Any news on this. I've bought a 5k retina and I have exact this problem. The room I work in is really silent and this noise is really annoying. Personally I think it's the fusion drive (Seagate?) that makes this noise.


I'm planning to return the Imac back to the store so they can have a look at it. This is my first Mac and all my previous computers I've built myself. They were dead silent.
