Q: incoming mail: iPhone not downloading mails from provider BT Internet
Noticed this morning that I had no new mail showing on iPhone from my provider, BT Internet. 'All inboxes' showed only mail to my iCloud account. My BTinternet mailbox showed only messages received up to a couple of days before.
Checked MacBook and discovered that there were new mail messages showing there on BT Internet account. Interestingly, I can still send mail from iPhone using my BT Internet address. Mail is also reaching my iCloud address and showing on my iPhone.
Did all checks as recommended by Apple (Get help with Mail on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support) - deleted my BT Internet account and then set it up again, did a restart, and subsequently a reset when restart did not work, but this only served to remove message history from by BT Internet inbox, which now shows 'No Mail'. It's not password either - checked that.
Also visited BT internet site and checked IMAP settings - they are as should be.
Anyone got any clues?

WELL! Seem to have resolved this myself - but not sure why it is resolved.
BT Internet is run by Yahoo, or they use their servers, or something . . . whatever. So instead of deleting then setting up a new (Other) BT Internet account, I deleted the BT Internet one and set up a Yahoo account, using the exact information, name, password, etc that I did for my BT Internet account . . . . . and my mail downloaded!
Seems like BT and/or Yahoo! playing silly beggars with my account, although I am aware that there have been ongoing problems with Yahoo! for some time, and lots customers have complained to BT about this.
I will be keeping an eye on this service, and will post further problems, or solutions, should I come across them.
