DUY Plugins and Logic Pro 10.x

I've been a long-time user of DUY plugins, especially Tape, Valve, and Wide. I upgraded Logic Pro many months ago (version 10.1.1 running on OS 10.10.2). Every other plugin I've managed to get working with little effort, except the DUYs.

I can't find any recent information and I get no response from DUY regarding compatibility. Seems every time I visit their site, the Live Online Chat is down and they don't respond to my emails. All of their "news" is painfully out of date and the specs on products reach back to OS 10.3.x. Maybe I missed the "going out of business" memo, but their website gives no indication of that.

I have dozens of older projects that have DUY peppered all over the place. I can just open them in Logic Pro 9, but it would be nice not to have 2 different versions running. Plus there are some channel strips that I've saved that I would like to reuse (which is why I saved them).

Has anyone else had this issue and been able to get somewhere with DUY? If not, has anyone found suitable replacements for these?

Thanks!

The reason is .. they are older 32bit AU Plugins and therefore will not function inside of Logic Pro X (LPX) which only supports the newer 64but AU plugins natively. (LP9 supports both via a 32 to 54bit bridge program that automatically runs in the background when needed but often proved to be unstable over time hence it's removal from LPX)

However 32Lives, which is a special kind of 'wrapper' that converts some 32bit AU Plugins to 64bit so these oldser plugins can be used in LPX.. claims it is fully compatible with all the DOY range....

So.. if you wish to continue to use these older plugins with LPX you will need to purchase 32lives or another such app that allows 32bit AU plugins to work in LPX such as VEP... Which is much more expensive but much more versatile.. allowing you to link several computers together in real time including windows PCs which in turn allows you to host Windows VSTs within Logic Pro X... as well as load share many plugins hosted on other Macs.. inside the Master LPX rig..

I knew the versions that I have were 32-bit and won't work as-is. I discovered that when I first tried using them. I wasn't aware of that 32Lives wrapper, thought. I'll have to look into that.

I found some other wrapper many months ago, but it seemed to complicated and invasive. I was hoping with enough time passing that DUY would put out some upgrades. It seems they've given up as nothing on their website has changed in almost a year.

I appreciate the info on 32Lives and VEP. I'll have a look...

Thanks, Art!
